Even though his words were confident and aggressive, Kira's posture seemed anything but. Not sure if he was feeling sympathy or annoyance, Ty slung an arm around him, ruffling up his hair fondly. "Well not all of us have psychic powers. Sometimes it's nice to talk to someone who can tell us everything is going to be all right."

That and while daddy's credit card went a long, long way, it wasn't like it could give emotional validation.

He made a face at Kira's excuse, before pulling away, taking out his phone to see what the rest of the gang was getting up to. They had asked if they should all ride together, but Ty had declined for reasons he was all too aware of and slightly embarrassed by. He just liked spending time with Kira, and while he liked his friends, they had a way of stealing his attention.

"Well funded or not, it's probably going to be boring." He paused, putting his phone away when he was sufficiently sure his friends were still going to be there and weren't just detouring straight to the hotel. "Thanks for agreeing to go, by the way. It saved me having to pay someone or from having to bring my mom."
